About

A working Apple writer, not a press release.

Two national journalism awards. More than twenty years of bylines.

— the track record

I’ve been covering Apple for Computerworld since 2003 and working on Macs since 1993. I came up right alongside Apple’s comeback and made the most of it: hands-on reviews readers trusted, on-camera work on Mingis on Tech, and a couple of national journalism awards for the Leopard coverage.

And it runs the other way, too: for just as long, I’ve rebuilt and migrated Mac environments and trained the people on them, company after company. That’s still the job today — architecting and running a Mac fleet end to end.

  • 54th Annual Jesse H. Neal Award
